This special passage making fuel efficient yacht was designed by George Buehler and is a safe, stable, and easily driven sea boat for a couple or short-handed crew. She was built in aluminum by McNally Marine in Belleville, Ontario and commissioned in 2005. McNally built the first three hulls of the Cape Horn Trawler series.
Originally built as a commercial fishing vessel in 1971 by the Sermons Boat Yard of Tarpon Springs, Florida, M/V Restless T was rebuilt as a luxury expedition yacht in 1985 including installation of a new Cummins 270hp engine. The Sermons Boat Yard built more than 70 commercial vessels, many still in use today. The current owners purchased this vessel in 2015 and have cruised her along the Eastern Seaboard, Gulf, and lower Great Loop and have kept her in excellent condition, including upgrades and improvements in 2023 at her last haulout at the Metal Shark Boat Yard in Bayou La Batre, LA.. Beautiful interior, 6 watertight compartments, LED lighting, hickory cabinetry on main level, teak cabinetry on lower level, and maple and mahogany soles throughout. All systems are designed for ease of maintenance, redundancies, and convenient and easy repair. All systems are in ready-to-cruise anywhere condition.
The owner is a master commercial mariner who has used his many decades-long knowledge and experience in keeping M/V Restless T in professional condition. She is owned, cruised, and lovingly cared for by the type of owner from whom you want to buy!
